Summary: Nice young man, I think the son of owners helped me up a narrow staircase with my luggage. The room was a reasonable size for being in the heart of Istanbul, and was nice, had a fridge (with 2 bottles of water) table & chairs and a comfy bed and a good AC. The area is very convenient to the heart of Istanbul, close to Galata tower, Galata port and near the Trams to cross the river to see the Mosques and more in the old town, also close to the ferries to lots of places. The Metro is a 10 min walk (a bit of a climb) away. Overall this would be a great place except for the noise situation. Ultimately I feel like they have a conflict of interest between their hotel and restaurant, which blasts loud (though great Greek) music till well past midnight. Not sure why the restaurant needs to play the music so loud and till so late considering that people come to have a good nights sleep. Only other concern was that rooms have the same old fashioned sort of keys, I'm not sure if my key would open one of the other doors.
