Positive: Hotel California in Champolouc was an absolute standout and easily one of the most characterful places I’ve stayed. From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly accommodating, genuinely friendly, and made both check-in and check-out completely seamless. Breakfast was a real highlight each morning, with fantastic options and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere that set the tone for the day. The hotel itself feels like a genuine step back in time, full of charm and personality. Each room is thoughtfully themed around iconic country and rock artists from the 60s and 70s, which adds a unique layer of authenticity and makes the stay feel special rather than generic. It’s a must-visit for any Western fan, but even beyond that, it’s a place you can’t help but enjoy.

Negative: It would have been nice to see more of the hotel, although I was there during a quiet week. More vegan options at breakfast would have been nice (fruit options).

Summary: An absolute standout and easily one of the most characterful places I’ve stayed.
