Positive: The Trulli itself is stunning. Beautiful traditional stone hut with free parking directly outside. Inside the decoration is simple and nice but the lighting is a bit harsh. Has an equipped kitchen and a coffee machine and pods and they provided milk, pastries and grapes from the vineyard. The trulli itself is a bit in the middle of nowhere but 15 min drive to Alberobello and 5 mins from a neighbouring vineyard (which is why we stayed there) Responsive host who communicated to us (in Italian) via WhatsApp. Self check in via a key in a lock-box outside the hut.

Negative: Being October when we stayed it was a bit damp and the temperature inside the hut was very cold. It felt like the hut had been unused for a while. We had to get the host to bring a heater as the AC unit and radiators did not work. Most of the plug sockets were the old fashioned kind which needed an adapter to fit modern European plugs and only 1 adapter was provided for the heater, so we had to keep unplugging it to use other things. The fuses blew in the middle of the night on our second night so we woke up to no heating or power. The bathroom was very cold as there was no heating in there, and there was no seat on the toilet! The instructions to open the key lock box at arrival were only communicated to us at arrival so we waited half an hour before we could get it. It would be better to have the information before arrival if possible. The “breakfast included” was very basic and more of a snack to get you to the next place for real breakfast.
