In the summer, there are concerts on Stangholmen, a small island in front of the town. At Øysang, you can rent a boat to explore the fjord on your own or go on exciting fishing trips on the lake. At Jegertunet holiday center, 5 km away, there is a heated outdoor swimming pool (for a fee), restaurant, kiosk, and interior design shop as well as tennis courts and a playground. At Stabbestad, 24 km away, there is a spa hotel and golf course as well as a mini-golf facility, a beach club, harbor pool and kayak rental on the fjord. We recommend a visit to Kragerø, towns and Tvedestrand. “The Little Zoo on Brokeland Heia with Norway's largest rainforest is not far away (24 km). Great cabin for holidays also in winter with the possibility of ice fishing on the lake or the fjord, and cross-country skiing on the illuminated track at Søndeled.
