The Nygård apartment is in a great spot, near the famous Nygårdsparken park, which is the biggest and best park in Bergen. It's also easy to get to Grieghallen, the universities, and the nice waterfront area of Møhlpris, all on the right side of town.
Pro-tip for those arriving in Bergen by car: be aware that there are many one-way streets in the city, and once you enter the downtown area, you must continue driving all the way through. However, the underrated feature of Nygård is that it is located right on the outskirts of downtown, providing the option to quickly come and go without having to navigate the city's one-way streets. This is a feature that I personally appreciate about Nygård!
GETTING AROUND THE CITY:
BUS - Bergen Busstation is only 500m away, and is where all the buses in Bergen starts off. From here you can go basically anywhere!
LIGHT RAIL - Closest stop is "Nygård" and is a short 4 minute stroll away. The light rail takes you to the city center in 5 minutes or all the way to the Airport in 40 minutes.
BIKE SHARE / ELECTRIC SCOOTER - Find stations all over the city with bikes and electric scooters available for rent through an app. Super fun and convenient!
PARKING: The easiest parking solution is parking by the street. You can view the zones and pay thru an app called "P I Bergen". The daily rate is between 150 - 250 NOK.
