About 10km away there is the tourist resort of La Spezia. This medium-sized harbour town has the only large harbour in Liguria that is protected naturally by the Golfo dei Poeti, forming the border between Liguria and Tuscany. It is a similar distance to the awesome world cultural heritage of Cinque Terre. Portovenere, Lerici, Versilia, Portofino, Sarzana and Carrara are also in the vicinity. You can go biking, riding, climbing, sailing, and even skiing in winter at Passo del Ceretto. The hospitality and the Ligurian gastronomy will make your stay unforgettable.
