Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: Very good price-performance ratio (to be in Norway). Cozy hostel with a large shared living room and kitchen, very clean. I would probably come back if I had something to do in Rena. I hope l will not need to.

Negative: Difficult to find this one hut between many huts in a forest. Ugly surroundings with waste and rests of building materials. Unclean info on booking.com about bedlinen, it's never pleasant to pay for unexpected service. Cleaning lady was removing or packing our private things. She were sending all the time notifications what's wrong, to keep our room locked, and keep the keys from it was obviously very wrong. My husband almost never says anything wrong about places where we stayed, but this time he wrote a long review: The shared kitchen for 5 rooms was equipped with a dishwasher, which did not work. There was also a fault with the electrical system, so I had to contact the landlord several times to get light in the kitchen. Many extremely strange rules for storing food and things (f ex. food has to be packed tight in only one pack with name, date, room nr, mm). Large bathroom was clinically clean, without hand soap and hooks to hang clothes and towels. Due to an electrical fault, it was also not heated. Fortunately, it was warm and dry all week. But if it had been raining, it would have been difficult to dry the clothes. The room could be locked, but the key should be available to the staff. Also could not be locked in the key box while you were out, because then you found it in the lock of the room on return. My private things were therefore available to anyone who happened to come by. I therefore always had the key with me. We were constantly notified if more guests could arrive, and that the common area had to be scrupulously tidy. Was lucky, and none of the other rooms were rented out. Nevertheless, things such as self-purchased hand soap and napkins were removed and hidden away. The "cleaning troll" went to our room and put it in our private luggages. On the day of departure, check-out was by 1100.
