Welcome to this vacation home, located in a quiet area, not far from the sea. The house is located on a small hill overlooking the sea and is only 150 meters from the boat dock. It is possible to fish from the floating dock where the boat is located. There are also other fishing opportunities in the area. The area offers many good hiking opportunities, for example from Bømlo to Goddo, to the gold mines of Lykling and Siggjo, the highest point. From Siggjo you have a fantastic view in all directions, to the open sea, Bergen, Haugesund, Folgefonna and the more than 1000 islands in the municipality. The area is rich in history. Short walk to the Moster Amphitheater with plays showing parts of Bømlo's history from the Viking Age. Here Olav Tryggvason went ashore in 995 to claim the king's throne and introduce Christianity to Norway. Also experience the old church of Moster, which is considered the first church in Norway, and the recreation area at the cultural center. Just a drive away is the small town of Stord with stores, restaurants and cafes in cozy pedestrian streets. Visit the Sunnhordaland Museum of Local History or play a round of golf/minigolf at Rommetveit. Only 1 hour to Haugesund. Possibility for day trips to Bergen and Hardanger.
