Great holiday house at Pasvikelva, Skogfoss in Finnmark. Quiet surroundings close to the idyllic banks of the Pasvikelva, only 100 m from the Russian border. There are approximately 10 permanent residents in the immediate area. Possibility of fishing (boat available) and great hiking terrain both summer and winter. The house was built around 1930 and is decorated and furnished with respect for the authentic style. Large and well-equipped kitchen with older household appliances and an associated dining room for 14 people, 3 WC/bathrooms of which 1 HC-accessible, 2 living rooms and 8 bedrooms (2 in the attic/loft) with a total of 12 sleeping places. 2 of the bedrooms have a double bed. There are open cabins after forestry and reindeer herding. Freshwater fishing with some restrictions for foreigners. Bathing opportunities in the river and forest/mountain water in summer. Sauna both summer and winter. The valley is nearly 20 miles long, an average of 1 mile wide, and share borders with Russia to the east in the middle of the Pasvikelva. The valley rises to the west and the Finnish boarder 100-200 meters higher. Buildings and main road along the river in the east of the valley. Multicultural society with elements from Norwegian, Russian, Finnish, Sami, Kven and Skolt Sami. Forest vehicle roads mostly towards the Finnish border in the west, remnants of former forestry operations. Pasvik is forest, marshes, birds, animals, and a rich fauna.
