If you want to explore nature on foot, you will find many tours in varied terrain. Drive to Nordseter and to Neverfjell or to one of the other mountain peaks in the area. Feel free to bring your fishing rod on the trip. There is a body of water right next to the cabin.
In winter, Lake Sjusjøen is a cross-country skiing paradise with miles of groomed trails. There are also opportunities for alpine skiing both at Sjusjøen and at the larger alpine resort in Hafjell. Also try dog sledding with Sjusjøen Huskytours. There is a shed with waxing table at the house.
If you want to take a trip from the cottage, Lillehammer is just a short drive away. There you will find stores, cozy streets, restaurants and museums. Take time to visit the open-air museum Maihaugen, Hunderfossen Family Park and Lilleputthammer.
