From Juvasshytta you can climb up to Galdhøpiggen, Norway's highest mountain (2469 m above sea level). Not far away is also Gjendesheim next to the famous mountain ridge Bessegen. Day trips to Geiranger, Stryn or the stave church in Lom. Otherwise the region is also very popular with anglers (salmon trout and grayling).
