There are many mountain peaks around Lake Eikesdalsvatnet, ideal for hiking. The impressive Mardalsfossen waterfall in Eikesdalen, the world’s 4th highest free-fall waterfall, is only 30 minutes away. A Sherpa staircase with 1,200 hand-laid stone steps is also nearby. Trollstigen and the Atlantic Road are about 90 minutes away, the Art Nouveau town of Ålesund 2 hours away, Kristiansund 65 minutes, and Molde 45 minutes. The fjord offers excellent fishing with a wide variety of fish. Boat is available for rent at the floating dock in front of the apartment.
