Fisherman’s cabin with jetty and floating jetty at the sea front in the far north on the island of Vega on the Helgeland coast. Great for anglers who want top sea fishing. Boat and motor for rent. Vega has beautiful coastal scenery with great hiking opportunities. The cabin was built around 1900 and used for fishing. During the renovation, emphasis has been on keeping the distinctive character from olden times. On the main floor, you find the living room, kitchen, one bedroom and laundry/utility room. On the floor above, there is a living room with dining table and sitting area, bathroom, and 2 further bedrooms. 2 single beds in each bedroom. On the wharf, there is outdoor furniture and barbecue. Free high-speed internet 5G min. 50/50 Mbit, many Norwegian and international channels. Known for its beautiful coastal landscape, Vega was in 2004 included on UNESCO's list of world natural and cultural heritage. For generations, people have lived as fishermen and farmers in a sustainable way. Visit the world heritage center on the island and get insights in the lifestyle of people here for the past 1,500 years. The landscape in the north is dominated by hills and villages, while the island to the south and west has mountains with great hiking opportunities. Magnificent view from the top of the many islands in the sea and the beautiful archipelago. Hikes along the sea or boat trips to the many small islands with idyllic beaches are a great experience and the sea air is a cleansing for body and soul. The island also has great cycling terrain for the whole family. The sea area around the island of Vega is rich in fish. Here, you can fish on fishing grounds between islands and islets and at greater depths in the open sea outside. 19-foot Kvaernø boat with 115 hp outboard motor, sonar, chart plotter and GPS is moored at the floating jetty by the tiller and can be rented. On the jetty, there is a bench for preparing fish, and inside there is a room for preparing fishing gear and a freezer. Good parking space, 5 km to a grocery store, walking distance to restaurant. Car ferry to/from Vega 5-7 times a day, the crossing takes 50 minutes. THE BOAT IS AVAILABLE IN THE PERIOD 15.5-15.10
