Cozy holiday home in a rural setting close to the sea and fresh water. Newly modernized holiday home in 2017. The wood stove in the living room provides a cozy and good heat, TV with Riks-TV for Norwegian channels and satellite dish with Astra1 for German and European channels. 50 Mbit speed internet for downloading/streaming. Exit from the living room to a 30 m2 balcony with outdoor furniture and a great view of the Gurskefjord. The kitchen is equipped for 8 people and has a small storage room for food that does not need to be refrigerated. One bedroom has a double bed and the other bedrooms each have 2 single beds that can be put together. Outside the garden there may be sheep grazing in their own enclosure. It is 2.5 km to a shop, and 24 km from the holiday home is the rural town of Ulsteinvik with the possibility of restaurant visits and all service options. The nearest bathing opportunity is 2 km from the holiday home at Skogevatnet, in this water there are also char and trout if you want to try your luck fishing. In the Myklebust river you can fish for small Trout, approx. 50 meters from the holiday home. In the immediate area there are large areas that can be used for hiking, from the mountains there is a good view over Kvamsøy, Voksa and Sandsøy. On the westernmost tip of Sandsøya lies the characteristic Dollsteinen with steep mountain sides facing the sea. On the south side, approximately 60 meters above sea level, is the opening to Dollsteinshola, which is a large and powerful mountain cave. Total length is approximately 185m. There are many good and sheltered fishing spots in the Gurskefjord or in open waters further out. Cod fishing is particularly good in the period February-April. 3.5 km from the holiday house there is a boathouse which is shared with holiday house 53096 which the owner has. In the boathouse, there is space to store the fishing equipment etc. Outside the boathouse there is a covered filleting area for fish with water and light. For rent: an Øien 620F 21-foot boat with 70 HP Yamaha 4-stroke engine, GPS/chart plotter/sonar and 6 rod holders. On request when booking the holiday home, a 16-foot boat with a 15 HP engine can be rented. Life jackets are included in the rental of the boats. NB!! NOT ALLOWED TO BRING YOUR OWN BOAT!
