A hiking trail begins directly behind the cabin, leading to Lake Herjevatnet. The ascent to the 1086-meter-high Tarløysa mountain is also possible from here.
This region is known for its fjord and mountain landscape and offers numerous hiking tours of all levels of difficulty. Guided tours are also available, some of which include climbing elements. The nearby town of Andalsnes is known as the alpine center of Norway and offers a variety of excursion options. Romsdalseggen, Trollstigen, Trollveggen, the Raumaban, and many other attractions are in the immediate vicinity.
