This house is located not far from the meeting point for climbing in the Knaben via ferrata. It is beautifully furnished and has a cozy atmosphere. Here you will find games, crayons, coloring books and toys. Spend cozy hours outdoors on the large terrace with table, chairs and fireplace.
In summer there are marked hiking trails in the area. You can hike to Knabekniben on the tractor road close to the house or start the trail in Gruvebyen. In the high mountains you will also find beautiful marked hiking trails. Here you can fish in the mountain lakes or perhaps pick the delicious cloudberry? There are also traces of mining from earlier times.
In summer and winter you can book a guided tour of the disused molybdenum mines. The mining buildings still exist and give the mining town its distinctive character. The cozy Knaben country store is also worth a visit. In winter, the Knaben Alpine Center invites you to spend active days (local ski arena is open from February to Easter). Many kilometers of groomed cross-country ski trails with different levels of difficulty start from the mining town. For the children there are sledges and toboggans in the house.
