Furthermore, the place is also a good starting point for day trips to Western Norway with Geiranger and Loen or Romsdalen with Trollveggen. Feel free to make the trip to Galdhøpiggen and stop by Lom and the famous bakery on the way back. For those who like speed and excitement, it is possible to try both canoeing and rafting on Sjoa. An hour's drive south you will find the charming inland town of Lillehammer with Maihaugen and many other cultural attractions, stores and restaurants.
