This is the perfect place for those looking for a combinination of hiking / nature experiences and urban excursions to Stavanger and its museums and shops. Good fishing conditions in the fjord, also for inshore fishing. There are several public wharfs nearby, the closest one is 2 km away. The area offers lots of mountain hiking. You can start walking directly from the house, or drive for a bit to find a bigger selection of hiking trails. A map is ready for you in the house. Mølleparken in Tau is a popular park with a cafe, flea market and art exhibition, open every Sunday. You can pick mushroom in late summer.
