The cabin is tastefully furnished and features a large wood-burning stove in the living room. Satellite TV is available, including German channels ARD and ZDF. From the sunny terrace, you can fully enjoy the stunning scenery. Below the cabin runs the main shipping lane, where you can watch boats and the famous Hurtigruten coastal express pass by twice daily. Nearby lies Trollfjorden, one of the area’s most popular attractions. The region offers excellent hiking opportunities, and at Årstein further south you will find idyllic sandy beaches. Fishing is available in the strait. Two boats can be rented: a 17-foot boat with a 40 hp engine and a 15-foot boat with a 35 hp engine. The boats are moored at a floating dock 500 meters from the cabin. Daily boat rental is NOK 800, season 2025 (fuel not included). Fishing rod rental is NOK 150 per day. Boats are available from May 1 to September 1. The cabin is an ideal base for day trips around Lofoten and Vesterålen. Svolvær is 45 km away, offering shops and restaurants. Nearby Kabelvåg and Henningsvær are also well worth a visit. On Gimsøya, you can enjoy a 9-hole golf course with midnight sun golfing in spring and summer.
