From Gravåsen, about 20 kilometers from the cabin, a beautiful hiking trail leads to the summit, which is 1755 meters above sea level. A trip to Jotulhogget, Northern Europe's largest gorge, is also recommended. For those who like swimming, there are good swimming opportunities in Storsjøen near Åkrastrømmen and in Lomnessjøen near Kværnesodden.
