The cottage is comfortably furnished and offers space for the whole family. After an active day you can gather for a good meal at the large dining table.
At the cottage there is a nice outdoor area where the children can play and you can enjoy meals outside on the covered terrace.
In the summer you can swim in lake Storsjøen, rent a boat and fish from Åkrestrømmen. For river fishing we recommend Mistra, a very good trout river in the area. There are also many nice fishing lakes in the mountain. On the top of the mountain there is also a water pool where you can swim. There are also several marked hiking trails in the area with the possibility of finding good berries in the right season.
For excursions, it is recommended to visit Sølenfjellet and Jotulhogget further north in Rendalen. There are also possibilities for day trips to Femundsmarka and Trysilfjellet. It's also nice here in winter: it's a 300-meter walk from the house to the mountain lift, and the ski area is child-friendly and snow-sure from November. In addition, there are 70 kilometers of groomed cross-country ski trails.
