The sea offers good fishing opportunities and you may move home with fresh catch; here you can find a range of delicious seafood such as crabs and many different fish. A short distance away you will find the mooring for the boat and the local lakes are good for canoe paddling. There are good swimming opportunities just a few meters from the cottage. Take a trip to the festival town of Haugesund with a cozy pedestrian area, good restaurants and stores. There are several golf parks and spa facilities in the area, and at the town of Aksdal you can visit the Badeland. The lighthouse Ryvarden Fyr (1849) with gallery, café and long history is worth a visit. We also recommend day trips to the many attractions in this region, such as Stavanger with the Norwegian Oil Museum, the famous Lysefjord with the Preikestolen, the amusement park Kongeparken, the popular rock Trolltunga, the glacier Folgefonna and the barony Rosendal. NB: The outdoor whirlpool on a viewpoint close to the cottage can be rented for 1.000,- NOK/week.
