At the Hardanger Fartøyvernsenter museum, you can gain an insight into the local boatbuilding history, learn how to row traditional wooden boats from the area and learn how to make ropes. The famous fruit blossom takes place in Hardanger in May. The mountain peaks of Vesoldo, Tørvikanuten and Tveitakvitingen are wonderful hiking destinations.
